- 1 cup all-purpose flour

- 1 cup molasses
- ¾ cup boiling water
- 1 large egg

- 9-inch Basic Flaky Piecrust, unbaked
How to Make It
- Pulse the flour, brown sugar, butter, and ¼ teaspoon salt in a food processor until crumbly; set aside.
- Whisk together the molasses and boiling water; whisk in the egg and baking soda. Pour into the piecrust, top with the flour mixture, and bake at 350°F until the center is set, 40 to 50 minutes. Let cool completely.
