Ingredients
- 5 apples, cubed
- 2 tbsp orange zest, minced
- half cup of orange juice
- 2 tbsp almond extract
- 5 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 cup of wheat flour
- 2 tbsp vanilla
- 1 cup of sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp baking powder
- baking spray
How to Make It
- Preheat the oven to 280˚-310˚ Fahrenheit and then coat the pie pan with the baking spray.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter and add the cubed apples, orange zest, orange juice, almond extract and vanilla and cook for 10 min.
- Beat the eggs with the sugar using a hand mixer until the mixture becomes foamy and grows in volume at least two times.
- Add the flour and beat the eggs mixture for 10 min. more. Then mix in the baking powder and spoon the mixture into the apples and mix well.
- Spoon the apples mixture into the pie pan and bake for 55 min. until golden brown and crispy.
