Ingredients
- 2 lbs of yams
- 1 cup of brown sugar (minimum)
- 1 bag of marshmallows
- 2 sticks of butter
- 1 cup of orange juice
- 3 tablespoons cinnamon
- 1 cup of cane sugar
How to Make It
- This gon ’bust down. Peel the yams, cut them to your liking, We be cutting them into thin medallions (circular like a quarter inch thick.) Boil them until they get soft, which is usually for one hour.
- Take your butter you can melt the sticks yourself in the microwave or just throw them in whole. Put hella brown sugar - over a cup. Go crazy with hella cinnamon - you have to taste it. Maybe it’s 2 tablespoons, maybe it’s 3. Add a cup of orange juice. Top it with a cup of regular sugar.
- In a baking pan, set it in the oven uncovered for 1 hour. For the last 2 minutes, top it with marshmallows and put back in until the marshmallows turn light brown. You don’t want to burn your shit!
